We are always looking for responsible adults to join in and share an hour or two to assist in grooming our property.  From cutting grass, trimming walk ways, sweeping walkways to larger projects such as cleaning a storage space or painting a wall are just waiting for that eager volunteer.  Please consider sharing your time and talents.  Contact Gerald Cullens - help us today

As we all know, generosity comes in many forms. Planned giving is often the best way for you to support important causes that matter the most to you in your life. Your gifts ensure the continuation of our ministry at Jesus the Good Shepherd to bring Christ’s life to others in the future through spiritual, education and social means and also enhance the needs of our large facility which serves thousands on a continual basis. When you include a gift of whatever amount to Jesus the Good Shepherd in your overall estate plan, you make it possible to improve the quality of life here at Jesus the Good Shepherd. Needs at Jesus the Good Shepherd abound. Perhaps in prayer during this Easter Season you may find one that fits your needs and extend the mission of Jesus the Good Shepherd. Thank you.

The Sunday morning Nursery is in need of lead position to staff for nursery. We are looking for responsible adults to work in the nursery on Sunday mornings. In our attempt to keep up with the growing needs of technology, we are forming a “Technology Committee” here at JGS. Its purpose is to give guidance to the pastor on the evaluation and upgrades to our technology here at JGS. If you are knowledgeable about technology and are willing to serve on this new Committee, kindly contact the church office and leave your contact information. Thank you!

Are you a plumber? Electrician? Experienced with dry wall? Painter? Have experience with flooring? The Stewardship / Finance Committee wants to coordinate some talent within our community who would be willing to help us with some maintenance projects in our large facility. If you could help us out, please contact: Craig Gough at

Honor Your Loved Ones in our Outdoor Memorial Prayer Garden

Our Outdoor Memorial Prayer Garden is a continuation of our Founder’s Walkway. You can honor your loved ones and celebrate God’s people and events in your life by purchasing an inscribed brick to be placed in this beautiful space.  Each 4”x 8” brick can be inscribed with a maximum of 39 characters.

With the great work and support of our Stewardship/Finance Council, and our community’s financial support, on or about Monday, June 16, should see the beginning of the repaving of Phase I of II of our parking lot. Phase I is directly outside the main church entrance. This work will take approximately two weeks, with a few more days to allow the new pavement to “settle”, thus prohibiting traffic. There is plenty of alternative parking lot space and fields to park. During this time, your patience and cooperation are appreciated. Unfortunately, we are short the approximately $50,000 to complete Phase II, the rest of the parking lot. This section needs new paving “bad.” The parking lot is actually breaking into pieces it is so old. Phase II will have to wait. It will take us time to save this amount, given our current budget is very tight. This will hopefully occur through future giving from members of our community. In the meantime, of course, any extraordinary donations to address the remaining parking lot will be graciously accepted and appreciated. Thank you.
