Dear Friends in Christ,

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. Our Catholic community has lived and spread the Catholic faith in northern Calvert County, Maryland since 1983. Jesus the Good Shepherd is known for a strong sense of hospitality, spirituality, and stewardship. Taken together, these values remind us of the early Church and our witness to the Gospel: "By this, everyone will know that you are my disciple, if you love one another" (John 13:35).

Jesus the Good Shepherd is your spiritual home whether you have been here for years or if you are new to our community. We are always growing as we welcome new individuals and families who share their time and talents and take their place as part of our parish faith story and tradition. Together, we respond to our vocation, which is God's personal call for each of us to claim our active faith in Christ. Here at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, you will discover a welcoming community that is eager to assist and support you in our common journey of faith.
